Point of Sale - Login

The Point of Sale - Login form is opened from the Sales menu > select Point of Sale - Login.  This form serves as the main form before you can access the Point of Sales transaction and history forms.

 

Each field shown in this form is described below.

 

1.The User Name field is a read only field that shows the currently VisionCore logged on user.
2. The Password field is used to enter the valid password of the user that is currently logged.  As the password is entered, notice that only asterisks or stars appear for every character that is typed.  This is another security feature so that nobody can see the password that is entered. To change the Password of a user, go to System menu > Security > select the user > click Password button.
3.The Opening Balance field is where you enter the amount of money you have on hand before opening the drawer or before making Point of Sale transactions.
4.The Store ID field is a combo box field where you can select the default Store ID you can reference the Point of Sale transactions to.  This may serve as the store location where the Point of Sale system is being used, making it easier to track transactions specific to the store location.  If you don't have a store id yet, you must add it first in the System menu > Stores and it will open the Stores form.  Then set that store in the Securityform > User Profile tab as your default store.
5.The Warehouse ID field is a combo box field where you can set the default Warehouse for the Point of Sale transactions. If you don't have a warehouse id yet, you must add it first in the Inventory menu > Warehouses.  Then set that warehouse in the Security form > User Profile tab as your default warehouse.
6. The Customer ID field is a combo box field where you can set the default customer for the Point of Sale transactions.  If you don't have a customer records customer yet, you must add it first in the CRM menu > Customers.  Then set that warehouse in the Security form > User Profile tab as your default POS Customer.

Info Note that all entry fields in this form are required.

 

After entering all the required information, click the OK button to bring you to the Sales Receipt form.  On the other hand, if you don't want to proceed accessing the Sales Receipt form then click on the Cancel button and the Point of Sale - Login form will be closed.

 

Info If you notice buttons in this form are designed bigger than the usual buttons used in most areas of VisionCore to cater touch screen terminals.
