Menu Permissions
Menu securities define view capabilities to a specified menu item. Using menu permissions can effectively hide or disable menu items from the assigned user. In essence, this level of security sets whether or not your end user “sees” and has “access” to a menu option. This level of permissions is most effective in outlining user functions within the application and fine-tuning menu access permissions for a specific role.
Form Permissions
Form permissions go one step further by identifying what you can do once you have successfully accessed a particular menu item. Six access privileges can be selected for any menu option identified within form permissions.
Form Control Permissions
The third level of permissions is to actually control each field, drop-down, grid, and button. Three security settings are available for each control option enabling your team to focus intently on completing their task and not getting bogged down or sidetracked by unnecessary form items.
